Currently Reading: The Salmon of Doubt- Douglas Adams

So, I have started reading The Salmon of Doubt by Douglas Adams.  I am bout half way through the book and I have to say that I love every page more and more.  The book is a collection of articles, letters and essays that was complied after the death of Adams. The book is divided into three sections titled, Life, The Universe and Everything after a line from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.  The first section, Life, was amazing and talked about every issue under the sun from his childhood and discovery of the Beatles to his predictions for the future of technology.  If you love incredibly well-educated, humorous, wordsmiths then this is the book for you.  Witty, thought-provoking and perfectly written essays give a peak into the mind of visionary of the highest order.  Douglas Adams inspires me to no end.  Please give this book a shot.  Read the first essay and see if you can put it down... because I couldn't.

Introduction and Purpose

I don't really know if blogging is for me and I don't know if this new endeavor is going to stick but it seems worth my time to at least try.  Like everyone else on the planet, I have ideas and opinions that I want to share and discuss with like minded (or not so like-minded) people and in our society the best place to do that is the internet.  Books, movies, politics, and religion are the topics that I hope to cover.  Any and all feedback is welcome.  I doubt this will spread far but I am excited to get back into writing and hopefully contributing in some small way to the collective info-pit that is the internet.
